About

Isabella Garcia has known she's wanted to be a director since she was 13 - as evident from the career goals in her 8th grade yearbook.

She didn't understand where to put this passion for storytelling until she discovered editing fanvideos a year later. Little did her parents know until they got a letter from the government begging their high-schooler to stop torrenting episodes of Skins UK and Community.

(She took a sabbatical, but continued soon after).

Since then, she' received her B.S. in Film & TV Production from San Diego State University and her MFA in Screenwriting from UCLA - where she was awarded the Carl Davis LGBTQ fellowship, the Alexandra Lederer scholarship, and was a finalist in UCLA’s Screenwriting Showcase.

She is currently the Development Coordinator at Lilly Wachowski's Anarchists United. Previously, she was an Executive Assistant at Circle Management + Production, a Creative Executive at El Estudio and a Script Consultant on Luis Miguel: The Series.

If she’s not writing, she’s probably editing, tending to her plants or walking her dog Archie.
