About

Isabella Garcia's wanted to be a director since she was 13 - as evident from the career goals in her 8th grade yearbook.

She didn't know where to put this passion for storytelling until she discovered editing fanvideos a year later. Little did her parents know until they got a letter from the government begging their high-schooler to stop torrenting episodes of Skins UK and Community.

(She took a sabbatical, but continued soon after).

She received her B.S. from San Diego State University and her Screenwriting MFA from UCLA - where she was awarded the Carl Davis LGBTQ fellowship, the Alexandra Lederer scholarship, and was a finalist in UCLA’s Screenwriting Showcase.

She is currently the Showrunner’s Assistant to Lauren LeFranc at Acid and Tender Productions.

She was previously the Development Coordinator at Lilly Wachowski's Anarchists United.

If she’s not writing, she’s probably editing (a fanvideo), tending to her plants or walking her dog Archie.
